Information we collect

• Contact details you provide: name, email, phone number, and shipping address.
• Order information: items purchased, order totals, and delivery status.
• Messages you send through our contact form or by email.
• Basic website analytics such as pages viewed and device type.

Payment card details are handled directly by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers.

How we use your information

• To process, ship, and support your order.
• To respond to questions and service requests.
• To send marketing emails where you have given express consent.
• To meet Canadian tax and record-keeping obligations.

Email marketing and CASL

We only send commercial electronic messages to people who have given express consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@thesoftpawstory.ca.

Sharing and storage

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the store — payment processing, shipping carriers, and email delivery — and only as needed to perform that service. Some providers may store data outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, or request deletion where we are not required to retain it. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
